This is super important. My friends just dont understand the concept of not buying too much. For them, their convenience has become so paramount and sensitive that a product offering the slightest and minutest change in it will trigger a buying response from them. It is crazy the way they defend some of their choices.

Cheaper the product, higher the frequency of change. Sustainable is expensive (take gadgets for example, cheaper is upgraded faster, lasts a lot less and the tendency to change it is the most) but better in the longer run. Difficult to stay away in this dynamic time where marketing style is "best ____ ever", no matter how small the change is to the previous version. Self-restraint and not caring what others think could be a good starting point. Well, another side to ponder over is the economic impact of reduced consumption!
